Idaho Attorney
Mr. Stephens received a law degree from the University of Idaho College of Law in 1978. He received an economics degree from Brigham Young University in 1975. He is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit Federal Court of Claims and the State and Federal Courts in Idaho. Mr. Stephens has practiced in Idaho Falls, Idaho since 1980. Prior to that time he was engaged in private practice in Moscow, Idaho and was a lecturer of business law at Washington State University.
He is a member of the Seventh Judicial District Bar Association, the Idaho State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Defense Research and Trial Lawyers Association and the International Association of Defense Counsel. Idaho attorney Alan C. Stephens has had experience in many areas of the law, including domestic, business, banking, commercial litigation, medical malpractice defense, tort and bad faith litigation, and has received training in the art of arson investigation, including fire cause and origin and financial status investigation, personal injury prosecution and defense. He presently does a substantial amount of accident and injury litigation for both defendants and plaintiffs.
Mr. Stephens was born in 1951 in Soda Springs, Idaho, and was raised in Pocatello, Idaho. He is an active member of the East Idaho Falls Rotary Club, acting as president for the year 1989-90.
