Idaho Lawyer
Curt R. Thomsen was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 17, 1952. He graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1970 with honors and then attended Brigham Young University and Arizona State University. Mr. Thomsen graduated from ASU in 1974 Summa Cum Laude. He was also honored with membership in the Phi Beta Kappa Honorary Scholastic Fraternity. Mr. Thomsen attended law school at the University of Idaho from 1974 to 1977, graduating with honors, third in his class. Mr. Thomsen was on the Idaho Law Review and served as the Case Notes editor.
Upon graduation in 1977, Mr. Thomsen joined the firm of Holden, Kidwell, Hahn & Crapo as an associate attorney. In 1983 Idaho lawyer Curt R. Thomsen became a partner with the firm and held that status until January 1, 1990, when he left to form the new firm of Thomsen and Stephens.
Mr. Thomsen has received the highest rating (AV) from the Martindale-Hubbel law directory. He is substantially involved in the areas of insurance and professional malpractice defense and health care litigation. Mr. Thomsen has extensive litigation experience and has served as president of the Idaho Association of Defense Counsel, a statewide organization of defense litigation lawyers. Mr. Thomsen is a member of the International Society of Barriesters.
Mr. Thomsen is a Past President of the Eagle Rock Inn of Court, part of the American Inns of Court.
